Domestic Material Consumption declined in 2011, following the trend over the past three years, having decreased 14,7% compared to 2010. Conversely, resources productivity increased in 2011, keeping the upwards trend observed since 2008. In 2009, the last year with available data for EU, Portugal scored the 8th lowest resource productivity.
