In the first three months of 2021, 1,431 marriages were celebrated in Portugal (-2,524 compared to the same period in 2020). However, from April 2021, with the deconfinement measures in place, there was an increase in the number of marriages celebrated in the country. In May 2021, 2,602 marriages were celebrated, 88.4% more than in April 2021 (1,381).
