About

The 2018 BDCM Workshop will be held on September 19-21, 2018 in Lisbon and will be hosted by Statistics Portugal, in cooperation with Statistics Netherlands, the University of Ljubljana, Statistics Norway and the US Census Bureau.

A Call for Participation, along with topics of the workshop, will follow soon (sent by BDCMLisbon2018@ine.pt).

The workshop offers an informal and interactive setting for methodologists and practitioners of statistical agencies and universities with hands on experience in business data collection in a broad sense.

The goal is to exchange information and learn from each other. Research papers, but even more importantly research in progress, emerging issues, unanswered questions, hands-on experience, mistakes and pitfalls can be discussed. It also aims for the development of current best practices and increase of expertise.

The maximum number of participants is set to 50, with a maximum of two representatives per organization. There is no registration fee. Participants are requested to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements. Practical information will be forthcoming.
