No ano 2021, Portugal (72,6%) e Espanha (75,7%) registaram valores acima do apurado para a União Europeia (70,8%). A percentagem mais baixa de população empregada neste sector registou- -se na Roménia (55,6%) e a mais elevada no Luxemburgo (84,9%).
