COOPSTAT NEWS N.º 28 9 INEs de Portugal e Cabo Verde retomam cooperação em matéria de IPC | NSIs of Portugal and Cabo Verde resume cooperation on CPI O Instituto Nacional de Estatística de Cabo Verde (INE-CV) e o INE de Portugal (INE-PT) realizaram, a 13 de novembro, um encontro virtual focado no processo de mudança do ano base do Índice de Preços no Consumidor (IPC) do INECV para 2023. O INE-CV solicitou o apoio do seu homólogo português, com base na cooperação de longa data entre as duas instituições nesta matéria, concluída em 2023. A equipa do INE-PT disponibilizou-se a fornecer apoio na componente metodológica da mudança de base. O INE-CV pretende implementar e divulgar o novo IPC em 2026, prevendo-se, para breve, a realização de novas sessões de esclarecimento, a breve trecho. Dada a relevância estratégica do tema para o INE-CV, participaram na reunião o respetivo Presidente, João de Pina Cardoso, e a Vogal da Direção, Annie Tavares Sanches, acompanhados por membros da Divisão de Estatísticas Empresariais e Índices. Da parte do INE-PT, o Departamento de Contas Nacionais assegurou a condução técnica do encontro, representado pelo respetivo Diretor, Pedro Oliveira, e pelo Diretor do Serviço de Estatísticas de Preços, Vítor Mendonça, com o apoio do Serviço de Relações Externas e Cooperação. NSI-CV requested support from its Portuguese counterpart, building on their long-standing cooperation in this area, which concluded in 2023. NSI-PT offered to provide support on the methodological component of the CPI updating process. NSI-CV intends to implement and disseminate the new CPI in 2026, with further briefing sessions expected in the near future. Given the strategic relevance of this topic for NSI-CV, the meeting was attended by its President, João de Pina Cardoso, and Board Member, Annie Tavares Sanches, supported by colleagues from the Business Statistics and Indices Division. From Statistics Portugal, the Department of National Accounts ensured the technical lead of the meeting, represented by its Director, Pedro Oliveira, and by the Director of the Price Statistics Unit, Vítor Mendonça, with support from the External Relations and Cooperation Unit.
