COOPSTAT NEWS N.º 28 13 Cooperação Internacional Worldwide Cooperation INE no evento “SDG Flag Day – Waves of Change” | Statistics Portugal in the “SDG Flag Day – Waves of Change” event No Dia Nacional da Sustentabilidade (25 de setembro), o Instituto Nacional de Estatística (INE) participou no evento “SDG Flag Day – Waves of Change”, realizado na Casa do Impacto, em Lisboa, e organizado pela UN Global Compact Network Portugal. A iniciativa integrou-se na campanha internacional SDG Flag Day, que celebra o aniversário da adoção da Agenda 2030 das Nações Unidas para os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS). O encontro constituiu um espaço de reflexão estratégica sobre a concretização das metas dos ODS em Portugal, reunindo representantes de diversas instituições públicas e privadas comprometidas com a sustentabilidade. Em representação do INE, Conceição Veiga, Diretora de Relações Externas e Cooperação, apresentou a comunicação “Medir para transformar – Portugal e os ODS”, integrada no painel “Retratos e indicadores da sustentabilidade”. A intervenção destacou o trabalho desenvolvido pelo INE na monitorização dos ODS da Agenda 2030, com especial enfoque nos avanços mais recentes, nomeadamente a publicação, em junho de 2025, da mais recente edição dos indicadores globais dos ODS disponíveis para Portugal. On September 25th – National Sustainability Day, Statistics Portugal took part in the event “SDG Flag Day – Waves of Change”, held at Casa do Impacto, in Lisbon, and organized by the UN Global Compact Network Portugal. The initiative was part of the international SDG Flag Day campaign, which celebrates the anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event served as a strategic forum for reflection on the national implementation of the SDG targets, bringing together representatives from various institutions and companies committed to sustainability. Representing Statistics Portugal, Conceição Veiga, Director of External Relations and Cooperation, delivered a presentation entitled “Measuring to Transform – Portugal and the SDGs”, as part of the panel “Portraits and Indicators of Sustainability”. Her presentation highlighted the ongoing work of Statistics Portugal in monitoring the SDGs under the UN 2030 Agenda, with a particular focus on recent developments, including the June 2025 publication featuring the latest set of global SDG indicators available for Portugal.
