2022 Edition 14 The statistical findings for the 4th quarter of 2021 concerning the labour market flows between employment status for the population aged 15 to 74, released by Eurostat on 13 April 2022, pointed to: • The proportion of people in Portugal who were unemployed in the 2nd quarter of the same year and who moved on to employment (27.7%) was 2.3 p.p. higher than the figure for people in the same circumstances in the EU as a whole; • In the same period, around one in five of the unemployed people in Portugal moved into inactivity (19.3%), while in the European Union this flow represented around one in four (23.7%).
