2022 Edition 40 MONTHLY STATISTICAL BULLETIN Passenger movement closer to 2019 levels Traffic at national airports, June 2022 (year-on-year rates of change, %) In June 2022, at Portuguese airports: • Around 20.8 thousand aircraft landed on commercial flights (+74.4% year-on-year); • The number of passengers, taking all those embarked, disembarked, and on direct transits, amounted to 5.7 million (+186.0% year-on-year); • On average, 95.9 thousand passengers disembarked per day (87.1 thousand in the previous month), approaching the number observed in June 2019 (98.1 thousand); • The movement of cargo and mail amounted to 18.2 thousand tonnes (+16.9% year-on-year); • Compared to June 2019: » The number of aircraft landed was 3.3% lower; » The number of passengers decreased by 2.7%; » Cargo and mail handled increased by 11.4%.
