Observations With the production and publication of the Land Use and Land Cover Map (COS) for the reference year 2023, the Directorate-General of the Territory has now two independent cartographic series. Series 1 (old) includes COS1995v2, COS2007v3, COS2010v2, COS2015v2, and COS2018v2. Series 2 (new) includes COS2018v3 and COS2023v1. The cartography within each series is spatially and temporally consistent, but the two series are not consistent with each other. Consequently, the cartography of Series 1 cannot be compared with the cartography of Series 2.
