Convex functions of set: an apllication to the least squares method
João Ferreira do Amaral > Revista de Estatística - 1.º Quadrimestre de 2000 > INE, 2000, p. 9 - 24

Summary

In this paper we develop the concept of convex classes of sets and of convex functions of set.
These concepts are useful for studying some set functions as for instance the supremum function when the respective point function is convex. An example is the least squares approach when there are errors in the variables.

keywords: class; set; convex; function; estimation.
