Summary
In the 2nd quarter of 2014 the number of building permits decreased by 3.9%, when compared with the 2nd quarter of 2013 (-4.0% in the 1st quarter of 2014), settling at 4.0 thousand buildings. Building permits for new construction declined by 9.2% (-3.8% in the 1st quarter of 2014), while rehabilitation works increased by 4.2% (-0.5% in the 1st quarter of 2014). The number of completed buildings decreased by 35.4% (-35.3% in the 1st quarter of 2014) reaching 3.7 thousand buildings.
Vis-à-vis the previous quarter, the number of building permits increased by 0.1% (+1,1% in the 1st quarter of 2014) while completed buildings decreased by 11.5% (-15.8% in the 1st quarter of 2014).
