The average value of housing bank appraisals in Portugal stood at €996/sq meter in May, up by 1.2% from the value observed in the previous month (change rate of 0.3% in April). The year-on-year change rate was -5.0% (-6.9% in the previous month). Comparing with the previous month, the average value in Lisboa Metropolitan Area increased 1.9% in May, while in the Porto Metropolitan Area decreased by 0.8%. The year-on-year change rates for these Metropolitan Areas were  5.6% and  3.8%, by the same order.
