07 March 2012

Summary

Women are more and live longer. They get married and become mothers (of fewer children) later in life. They are still taking the majority of parental leaves. The risk of poverty is higher among women, as well as the material deprivation rate.  Fewer women are arrested and more are victims (of crimes against people). Diseases related to the circulatory system are their main cause of death. They represent the majority of students in the secondary and tertiary education. Their use of new technologies has increased. They are in the labor market, but have higher unemployment rates. They still are the main agents in caregiving.
