The average value of housing bank appraisals in Portugal stood at €1026/sq meter in October, decreasing 0.1% from the value observed in the previous month and 6.1% from October 2011 (change rates of -0.1% and -7.0% in September, by the same order). Comparing with the previous month, the average value in the Lisboa Metropolitan Area decreased 0.4% in October, while in the Porto Metropolitan Area grew 0.5%. The year-on-year change rates observed in those Metropolitan Areas were -8.5% and -7.0%, respectively.
