Summary
The average value of housing bank appraisals in Portugal stood at €1028/sq meter in August, down by 0.5% from the value observed in the previous month and by 7.0% on year-on-year terms (change rates of -0.6% and -7.3% in the previous month, by the same order). In the Metropolitan Areas of Lisboa (average value of €1225/sq meter) and Porto (€970/sq meter), the monthly change rates were -0.9% and 0.3%, respectively. The year-on-year change rates observed in those Metropolitan Areas were -8.3% and  7.4%, by the same order.
