Agricultural forecasts
In a year marked by strong agricultural drought, winter cereal production is the worst since 2005. Spring crops show a regular vegetative development - July 2012
20 August 2012

Summary
Early estimates on July 31 point to a significant decrease in the yield of orchards, namely in the cases of pear, apple and peach, as a result of bad weather conditions at the time of flowering / pollination (cold and frost). The cherry production dropped, mostly in early varieties due to the damage caused by the rains of April and May. The winter cereals production breaks severely, mainly due to drought, a situation which also affected the potato, particularly the not irrigated one.
In general, spring crops show a regular vegetative growth for the moment; therefore it is not foresee any breaks on the yields. The yields for industrial tomato should recover after the bad 2011 campaign.
In the vineyard, it is also envisaged some recovery over the previous year, with productivity gains of 5% in the wine grape and 10% in table grape
