The average value of housing bank appraisals in Portugal stood at €1019/sq meter in December, down by 0.2% from the value observed in the previous month. The year-on-year change rate was -5.1% (-5.7% in November). In Lisboa Metropolitan Area the average value increased, from November, 0.2% to €1194/sq meter while in the Porto Metropolitan Area the average value was the same as observed in November, €964/sq meter. The year-on-year change rates for these Metropolitan Areas were -5.9% and -4.4%, by the same order.
For the year 2012, the average value of housing bank appraisals was €1035/sq meter, down by 7.7% when compared with the average value observed in 2011.
