Summary
The average value of housing bank appraisals in Portugal stood at €1063/sq meter in January, down by 0.9% from December and down by 6.2% from January 2011. In Lisboa and Porto Metropolitan Areas the average value decreased 1.2% and 0.6%, when compared with the previous month, attaining €1268/sq meter and €1007/sq meter, respectively. The year-on-year change rates for these Metropolitan Areas were -9.4% and -5.3%, by the same order.
