Summary
The Portuguese Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose on average 2.6% in 2008 when compared with 2007. The CPI recorded an annual rate of change of 0.8% in December 2008. On a monthly basis, the CPI decreased 0.5%.
In 2008, the Portuguese Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) increased 2.6% when compared with 2007. In December, the HICP annual rate was 0.8%.
