The CPI recorded an annual rate of change of 4.0% in November 2011. Excluding energy and unprocessed food, the annual rate was 2.1%. The CPI monthly rate of change was -0.1% (1.1% in October and 0.2% in November 2010). The CPI 12-month average rate was 3.6% in November (3.4% in October).
In November 2011, the Portuguese Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) annual inflation rate decreased to 3.8%, 0.8 percentage points (p.p.) above the rate estimated by Eurostat for the Euro area (1.0 p.p. in October).
