The CPI recorded an annual rate of change of 3.5% in February 2011. Excluding energy and unprocessed food, the annual rate was 1.9%. On a monthly basis, the CPI decreased to 0.0% (0.6% in January and 0.1% in February 2010). The CPI 12-month average rate increased 0.3 percentage points (p.p.) to 2.0% in February.
In February 2011, the Portuguese Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) annual inflation rate decreased to 3.5%, 1.1 p.p. above the rate estimated by Eurostat for the Euro area.
