PRODUCT: Good or service created within a production activity.

ARCHIVE: Institution or service responsible for the acquisition, preservation, organization and communication of archive documents.

LIBRARY: An organised collection of data in several types of media, as well as the structures and services that allow for their treatment, storage and release, aimed at meeting user needs as far as information, research, education and enjoyment are concerned.

REFERENCE PERIOD: The length of time for which data are collected, e.g. a specific day, month or year.

MUSEUM: A permanent non-profit institution in the service of society and of its development, open to the public, which acquires, conserves, researches, communicates and exhibits, for purposes of study, education, enjoyment, the tangible and intangible evidence of people and their environment.

GOVERNMENT: The government sector includes all institutional units whose primary function is to produce other, non-market goods and services for individual and collective consumption and/or engaging in the redistribution of income and national wealth. These units' main resources come from mandatory payments made directly or indirectly by units belonging to other sectors.

FINAL CONSUMPTION EXPENDITURE: Expenditure incurred by resident institutional units on goods or services that are used for the direct satisfaction of individual needs or wants or the collective needs of members of the community.
