(1) From January 1st, 2015 came into force a new version of NUTS (NUTS 2013). At NUTS II level was just a name change in "Lisboa" which became known as "Área Metropolitana de Lisboa".
(2) Municipalities totals may not always correspond to the sum of parishes due to rounding and lack of classification issues.
It was not possible to get all the information for the municipalities of Lisbon and Seia (for the years 2002 to 2005) and for the municipality of Amadora (from 2011 to 2017). The data presented for these municipalities in these periods are underestimated.
Data for 2021 and 2022 is based on completed works estimations.
