(1) From January 1st, 2015 came into force a new version of NUTS (NUTS 2013). At NUTS II level was just a name change in "Lisboa" which became known as "Área Metropolitana de Lisboa".
Geographic localization concerns operators headquarters. The Extra-Regio component includes data for which it is not possible to have information about the localization of the operator headquarters, namely operators with unknown NUTS (includes foreign operators), estimations for transactions below the exemption thresholds in Intra-EU trade and confidential data. Until 2009 Extra-Regio component also includes estimations for non-response in Intra-EU trade.
(2) Definitive data from 2011 to 2022 and preliminary data from 2023.
(3) An extraordinary revision of the 2015 data was carried out on 08/09/2017, with impact only on exports (Intra-EU).
